The platform allows you to complete various tasks, such as verification, visit or video call scheduling, receiving voice calls, sending messages, and connecting with your loved one from anywhere – all free of charge.</p>

<p>Absolutely! At Ameelio, we believe that maintaining connections with loved ones should not come at the expense of basic needs. Therefore, you will never have to pay anything for video or voice calls on our platform.</p>

<p>Ameelio is a nonprofit organization with the ultimate goal of developing free communication technology to foster a more humane and rehabilitating corrections system. You may already be familiar with our free mailing app 'Ameelio Mail: Photos to Prison', but our efforts go beyond that.</p>

<h2>When Will Ameelio Connect be Available in My Facility?</h2>
<p>If your loved one is not currently incarcerated in any of the facilities that offer our services in Iowa, Colorado, Illinois, or Maine, there is no need to worry. Ameelio is actively collaborating with policymakers and correctional departments across the country with the aim of expanding free video and voice calling to all individuals in custody.</p>

<p>*Please note that prior authorization from the facility as an approved visitor is required to make use of our services.</p>
